Tweedledum and Tweedledee

Tweedledum and Tweedledee are fictional characters featured in Lewis Carroll’s 1871 book Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There. Their names, which may have originated from an epigram by poet John Byrom, are also associated with an English nursery rhyme that holds a Roud Folk Song Index number of 19800.

In Western popular culture, the names of these characters have become synonymous with any two people whose appearances and actions are identical.
