Natasha Rostova
Countess Natalya Ilyinichna Rostova, known as Natasha, is a central character in Leo Tolstoy’s 1869 novel War and Peace. She is the beautiful daughter of Ilya Rostov, a nobleman described as loving, kind, and generous.
The character of Natasha is based on two real-life figures: Tolstoy’s sister-in-law, Tanya Behrs, and his wife, Sophia Tolstaya.
