Ivan Karamazov

Ivan Fyodorovich Karamazov is a central character in Fyodor Dostoevsky’s 1880 novel, The Brothers Karamazov. At the beginning of the story, he is 23 years old and is the son of Fyodor Karamazov, the elder brother of Alyosha Karamazov, and the younger half-brother of Dmitri Karamazov.

His interactions and relationships with his father, his two brothers, and Katerina Ivanovna serve as essential elements that drive the plot of the novel.
