Frankenstein's monster

Frankenstein’s monster is a fictional character who serves as the main antagonist in Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel, Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. Although the creature is often referred to by the name of his creator, Victor Frankenstein, the title of the work draws a comparison between Victor and the mythological figure Prometheus, who famously fashioned humans from clay and provided them with fire.
