Enjolras

Enjolras is a fictional character who serves as the charismatic leader of the Friends of the ABC in Victor Hugo’s 1862 novel, Les Miserables. As a dedicated revolutionary, he fights for a France that provides greater freedom and equality for the poor, the weak, the sick, the needy, the disposed, the disabled, and the oppressed.

His commitment to these ideals is central to both the novel and its musical adaptation. Ultimately, Enjolras sacrifices his life for his beliefs during the June 1832 rebellion.
