Dr Jekyll

Dr Henry Jekyll is a character in the 1886 Gothic horror novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. He is an old friend of Gabriel John Utterson, a London-based legal practitioner who investigates a series of strange occurrences involving Jekyll and a murderous criminal named Edward Hyde.
