Dorothy Gale

Dorothy Gale is a fictional character created by American author L. Frank Baum. She serves as the protagonist in many of his Oz novels, making her first appearance in the 1900 children’s classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz before reappearing in most of its sequels.

Beyond the original book series, Dorothy is also the main character in various adaptations of the story. This includes the notable 1939 film version titled The Wizard of Oz.
