Bilbo Baggins

Bilbo Baggins is the title character and protagonist of J. R. R. Tolkien’s 1937 novel The Hobbit. He also serves as a supporting character in The Lord of the Rings and acts as the fictional narrator for many of Tolkien’s Middle-earth writings.

In his primary story, Bilbo is selected by the wizard Gandalf to assist Thorin Oakenshield and his party of Dwarves. Together, they embark on a quest to reclaim the Dwarves’ ancestral home and treasure, which have been seized by the dragon Smaug.
