Bandersnatch

The Bandersnatch is a fictional creature featured in Lewis Carroll’s 1871 novel Through the Looking-Glass and his 1874 poem The Hunting of the Snark. Described as both ferocious and extraordinarily fast, the creature is characterized by a long neck and snapping jaws.

While Through the Looking-Glass suggests that these creatures inhabit the world behind the looking-glass, The Hunting of the Snark depicts a party of adventurers encountering one after crossing an ocean. Beyond Carroll’s original works, the Bandersnatch has appeared in various adaptations, as well as in the works of other authors and different forms of media.
