Andrei Nikolayevich Bolkonsky
Prince Andrei Nikolayevich Bolkonsky is a central character in Leo Tolstoy’s 1869 novel War and Peace. He is the son of the renowned Russian general Nikolai Bolkonsky, who raised both Andrei and his sister, Maria Bolkonskaya, on a remote family estate.
Beyond his family life, Andrei maintains a close personal connection as the best friend of Pierre Bezukhov.
