Alfred Jingle

Alfred Jingle is a fictional character featured in the 1837 Charles Dickens novel The Pickwick Papers. He is a strolling actor, an engaging charlatan, and a trickster.

He is well known for his bizarre anecdotes and his distinctive way of mangling English syntax.
