William Least Heat Moon

William Least Heat-Moon is an American travel writer and historian of English, Irish, and Osage heritage. He is the author of several books that chronicle his unusual journeys across the United States.

His body of work includes accounts of cross-country trips by boat and his best-known work, which details a journey taken in a 1975 Ford Econoline van.
