Tara Westover

Tara Westover is an American memoirist, essayist, and historian. Her 2018 memoir, Educated, debuted at number one on The New York Times bestseller list and was named one of the newspaper’s 10 Best Books of 2018.

The book was a finalist for several national honors, including the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, PEN America’s Jean Stein Book Award, and two National Book Critics Circle Awards. In 2019, Time magazine recognized Westover as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
