Tappei Nagatsuki

Tappei Nagatsuki is a Japanese novelist best known for creating the Re:Zero light novel series. He began the project as a web novel on the site Shosetsuka ni Naro in April 2012, eventually leading to a print publication deal with Media Factory. As of late 2025 and early 2026, the expansive series has grown to include forty-three volumes, six side story volumes, thirteen short story collections, and a total of 686 chapters.

Beyond the original text, the Re:Zero franchise has been adapted into manga, visual novels, and an anime series. Nagatsuki maintained a hands-on approach throughout the production of the anime, actively participating in script meetings, recording sessions, and dubbing.
