Richard Henry Dana

Richard Henry Dana Jr. (1815–1882) was an American lawyer and author. He was the son of the American poet and author Richard Henry Dana Sr. and the grandson of Francis Dana.

The Dana family lineage includes several notable figures, beginning with the lawyer and politician Richard Dana (1699–1772). Following Richard Henry Dana Jr., the family tradition continued with his son, the lawyer Richard Henry Dana III (1851–1931), and his grandson, Richard Henry Dana IV.
