Pat Conroy

Donald Patrick Conroy was an American author recognized as a leading figure of late-20th-century American Southern literature. He wrote several acclaimed novels and memoirs throughout his career.

His notable works include The Water Is Wide, The Lords of Discipline, The Prince of Tides, and The Great Santini. Each of these books was adapted into a film, with The Prince of Tides and The Great Santini receiving Academy Award nominations.
