Madeleine L'Engle

Madeleine L’Engle was an American writer who authored works of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. She is best known for her 1962 children’s book, A Wrinkle in Time, which earned her the Newbery Medal.

In recognition of her contributions to literature, L’Engle received the Margaret A. Edwards Award from the American Library Association in 1998.
