Joseph Heller

Joseph Heller was an American author who wrote novels, short stories, plays, and screenplays. He is best known for his debut novel, Catch-22, a 1961 satire on war and bureaucracy whose title has become a synonym for an absurd or contradictory choice.

During his literary career, Heller received widespread recognition for his work, including being nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature twice, in 1972 and 1975.
