H. G. Wells

Herbert George Wells was a prolific English writer who produced more than forty novels and dozens of short stories across a wide variety of genres. His extensive body of work also includes non-fiction covering social commentary, politics, history, popular science, satire, biography, and autobiography.

Wells is best known today for his groundbreaking science fiction novels. Due to his contributions to the genre, he has sometimes been called the father of science fiction, a title he shares with Jules Verne and Hugo Gernsback.
