George Gordon Byron, 6th Baron Byron, was a prominent British poet and a major figure of the Romantic movement. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest poets in British history.

His literary legacy includes the popular shorter lyrics found in Hebrew Melodies, as well as his best-known lengthy narrative works, Don Juan and Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage.
