Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky was a Russian novelist, short story writer, essayist, journalist, and philosopher. Widely regarded as one of the greatest writers in both Russian and world literature, his influential works explore the human condition within the troubled political, social, and spiritual atmospheres of 19th-century Russia. His writing frequently engages with a variety of complex philosophical and religious themes.

Dostoevsky’s acclaimed novels include Crime and Punishment, The Idiot, Demons, The Adolescent, and The Brothers Karamazov. Additionally, his 1864 novella Notes from Underground is recognized as one of the first works of existentialist literature.
